MY LAST DAY

Zoleka Mandela's death exposes the rot of family secrets & unresolved issues especially of abuse.

In her last wishes, she made it clear that her Ex-husband & other members of the Mandela family including Chief Mandla Mandela who is also a Member of Parliament & Chief Dalindyebo & her ex-husband Thiery Bashala should not attend her funeral.

In her diary, she puts a •dot on those who sexually abused her & should not rape her again by attending her funeral.

People who disrespect us in life, should never be allowed to pay their last 'respect' in our death.

It should be that simple.

People who can't address issues with us in life, should not seek a microphone to address our funeral. Have respect!

I think as African our trauma is deeper because we abuse each other, but except that we should get along during funerals.

Why should we have to wait for someone to die in order to talk?

How does coming together address the trauma of the past?

I have experienced how a sister is told her own biological sister is dead, she is talking bad about her deceased sister the way to the funeral house,

only starts to cry when the funeral house is a stone throw away.

And after burial continues to talk bad about a dead relative.

These toxic humans aren't family.

Normalize to write your last wishes.

Who must sing, speak, preach at your funeral?

What pictures must be used?

Plan your funeral that if your village doesn't turn up, three loved ones can attend your burial ❤️❤️❤️
