CHURCH' IS ACCUSED #1 IN RAPE & OTHER GENDER BASED VIOLENCE CASES

Pastor Timothy Omotoso is the face of church rapists and abusers in the churches today. Yes, your beloved local church has an Omotoso!

Most of our churches have become places of abuse where abusers are celebrated, protected and rewarded.

These 'Churches' are enablers and apologists for Gender Based Violence.

And the victims are threatened, shamed and humiliated, and in some cases killed if the victim wants to expose the perpetrators.

When abuse takes place within the boundaries of a church or religious establishment, the men and women will defend the most powerful men in spiritual authority, than the helpless victim of verbal, emotional, sexual and economical abuse.

What upsets me to my stomach is the women groups within our churches who perpetuates a culture of secrecy in the face of women abuse.

The default position of pastors’ wives and leaders of Christian women organizations when sexual scandals happen is to quickly run to the corner of the abuser.

They protect and defend their most powerful men among them fully aware of their infidelities, and isolate the powerless woman victim in the corner by herself.

There are cases even when a Guest speaker forces himself on a daughter of the church, and the pastor and the wife comforts their daughter and talk her out of reporting the case to authorities.

While the culprit is given the pulpit introduced as a powerful Man of God preaching while his victim sits helpless in the pews.

And he is invited again, and again!

What causes these abusers enviable by the host pastors who go out to bring them back into the same pulpit?

What message are we sending to our daughters in the church?

Yes, the historical injustice systematically ensued that men are counted, and women are excluded, they don’t count.

The next generation of believers should begin by looking within the church and root out corruption that has daint the image of the Christian community of faith.

Post Covid19 I Pray to God that He gives us the courage to stand up and defend the victims of the 'church'.

We can't go on business as usual while countless believers are "hurt by the church".

Have your Church ever called a workshop or conference to discuss GBV?

Do you know the traits of powerful perverts control freaks in pulpit?

If the Church can stand up against Gender based violence within and outside Church, that Church has a lot to hide.

I am in the corner of the victim, which corner are you?
